Family Environment Assessment Model (FEAM)

The Family Environment Assessment Model (FEAM) is based on the Concentric Sphere Family Environment Theory (CSFET), and serves as the family assessment model for assessing the state of family well-being. Its current version (as of October 2016) is Version 2.6.
The FEAM was constructed from "family observations/interviews" for labeling of family signs/symptoms and assessing their levels, and "measurement tests" for assessing the state of family functioning and needs for family support. By integrating these, family assessments are conducted qualitatively (i.e., through demonstration of disposition and characteristics) and quantitatively (through quantity and numerical values). In other words, the FEAM can be characterized as a mixed method for performing family assessments qualitatively and quantitatively.
